NAPS

NAPS stands for National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme, an initiative by the Government of India to promote apprenticeships in the country. The scheme was launched in August 2016 and is implemented by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).

The primary objective of NAPS is to provide apprenticeship training to a large number of youth in India, particularly in sectors such as manufacturing, service, and agriculture. The scheme aims to increase the employability of youth by providing them with industry-relevant skills and hands-on training.

Under the NAPS scheme, employers are provided with financial incentives to engage apprentices, including reimbursement of 25% of the prescribed stipend. The government also provides a one-time grant of INR 1500 to employers for each apprentice who completes the training program.

NAPS also supports training providers and apprenticeship intermediaries, such as Sector Skill Councils, industry associations, and placement agencies, to facilitate the placement of apprentices in various industries and sectors. The NAPS scheme aims to create a skilled workforce in India and increase youth employability by promoting apprenticeships for better career options.

As authorised third-party aggregators (TPA) of the government of India, we help candidates get trained through NAPS.

After training under NAPS, candidates can easily be placed in their respective fields as they are formally trained and certified for the respective industry and job.
